JAZZ SMUGGLERS BAND PLAYED TO OVER 3,000 PEOPLE
Being the keynote jazz band at the Chichester Real Ale and Jazz Festival was our first big gig a couple of years ago. We had a wonderful time, and 300 turned up to hear us that Saturday afternoon. Repeated again this year
Other highlights have been Priory Park Chichester, Hotham park bandstand Bognor, a lovely Chichester Festivities evening with the Bosham Friends of Old Meadow, a few plush weddings amongst private parties. We have played recently at a big charity gig at Patrick Moore’s house and garden in Selsey. We are the only band to have played all the Major Festivals in Sussex in the same year. Chichester, Brighton, Petworth, Reall ale and Jazz, Rox, Arundel, and Selsey.
Mostly the line up consists of two or three saxes, guitar, bass, drums and piano
and a wonderful singer, but we play trios and quartets too. THE JAZZ SMUGGLERS CD
