Find a live jazz gig somewhere
Live jazz music is under-promoted. Pubs and Cafe bars can’t be bothered to advertise it half the time – they expect the musicians to do it, and the musicians expect the pub/café/hotel to do it. It is a mess. Not much money in it for anyone, that’s why. Free jazz –where you don’t pay at the door - won’t get listed much, but name bands will be advertised because someone has invested serious money in them.
Really uninteresting point. If the gig offers free entrance then the band will sell more of its cds at the venue. That’s human nature for you.
